Glendalough Double Barrel Single Grain 0.7l, alc. 42 Vol.-%

Glendalough Distillery was founded in 2011 by five friends from Dublin. Various styles of Irish whiskey are produced on site in small batches. The distillery also produces gin. The labels of the bottles depict Saint Kevin who, according to legend, stood in the water for 13 days and 13 nights holding blackbird eggs in his hands until the chicks hatched. He stayed there for another 13 days until they fledged.

Glendalough Double Barrel matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks for an undefined period of time. Bottled at 42% ABV. Alcohol.

Aroma: Sweet grain with a delicate nuttiness, caramel and citrus fruits, fresh and floral.

Palate: Lemongrass, nutmeg and toffee, some ginger with dry malt and oak.
