Founded in 1897, Glen Moray Distillery is to the west of the town of Elgin. Located on the banks of the River Lossie, the origins of the building in which the distillery produces can be traced back to a brewery. Glen Moray means something like "Valley of the Settlement by the Lake". The distillery is known for its single malts, which matured and then matured in a wide variety of cask types.
Glen Moray 15 years matured the entire time in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled at a mild 40 vol. % alcohol.
Aroma: Cereal accentuated with apples and pears, delicate spices and nuts, dry oak note.
Taste: Sweet with toffee and vanilla, slightly chocolaty, hints of apricot, malty.
