To the west of the city of Elgin lies the Glen Moray Distillery, founded in 1897. Situated on the banks of the River Lossie, the building in which the distillery is located traces its origins back to a brewery. Glen Moray translates as "valley of the settlement by the lake." The distillery is known for its single malts, which have been aged and re-aged in a variety of cask types.

Glen Moray 12 Years matured the entire time in former bourbon casks and bottled at a mild 40% alcohol by volume.

Aroma: Rich vanilla, toffee, fruity berries, fresh herbs
