Edradour Distillery, once Scotland's smallest distillery, has been independently owned again since 2002. Run by Andrew Symington, owner and founder of Signatory Vintage, the Highland distillery is truly a luminary owner. Since he took over, very diverse bottlings have come onto the market on a regular basis. Edradour bottles single malts under its own name without peat smoke, as a ballechin with peat smoke.

Edradour 12 year old Caledonia first matured in ex-bourbon casks and then received a post-maturation in Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Balance of sweetness and spice, ripe plums and apples, some caramel and hazelnuts.

Taste: Chocolate notes, vanilla and caramel, dark fruitiness with chocolatey oak and delicate spices.
