Craigellachie 23 years Exceptional Cask 0.7l, alc. 46 Vol.-%

Not far from the Speyside Cooperage, in the small town of Craigellachie, is the distillery of the same name, which was founded in 1891 and translates to "rock mountain". Unusually, the Craigellachie Distillery bottles its single malts with odd ages. The whiskey produced there is also one of the main ingredients in Dewar's blends.

Craigellachie 23 years matured the entire time in ex-bourbon casks. Bottled at 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Tropical fruit notes, waxy with honey, coconut, some sulfur and floral notes.

Taste: Sweet tea and coconut, tropical with mango and star fruit, intensely spicy with dry oak.
