In 1987, John Teeling acquired a former distillery called Ceimici Teoranta Distillery, which was owned by the state and produced potato distillates. After renaming it the Cooley Distillery, he equipped the distillery to produce both single malt and single grain. With the acquisition of the old Kilbeggan Distillery, John Teeling created space to store the whiskeys produced at Cooley Distillery. 

Connemara 12 Jahre reifte die komplette Zeit in Eichenholzfässern. Abgefüllt mit milden 40 % vol. Alkohol.

Aroma: Ein Hauch Rauch mit Leder, reifen Zitrusfrüchten und zarter Kräuternote, grasig-frisch, Eiche.

Geschmack: Fruchtig und süß mit Birnen und Äpfeln, Kräutern, Leder und einem Hauch Rauch.
