Cask Islay 10 Years Old A. D. Rattray Single Malt 0.7l, 57.3% ABV

A. D. Rattray was founded in 1868 by Andrew Dewar Rattray and originally started as an importer of French wines, Italian spirits, and olive oil. Later, however, the company established itself as a specialist in blending and storing malt and grain whiskies. After the founder's death, the company passed to a capable whisky broker named William Walker, whose daughter later secured the company's continued existence through marriage – to this day.

Cask Islay 10 Year Old Sherry Cask Special Edition comes from an undisclosed distillery on the Scottish island of Islay and matured for an undefined period in former Oloroso sherry casks.
Bottled at a robust 57.3% ABV, with no added color and non-chill filtered.

Nose: Intense peat smoke, smoked bacon, nuts, dates, dark dried fruits, coffee notes, oak

Taste: Smoke, almonds, sherry notes, chili, caramel, smoked berries
