Founded in 1779, Bowmore is the oldest whiskey distillery on the Scottish Isle of Islay. Known for its smoky whiskeys, Bowmore is, however, one of the milder representatives of the island, with a smoke content of around 35 ppm in the malt. Aroma: Light peat smoke, subliminal fruit note and mild spices and aromatic sweetness, mineral.
Taste: Sweet with hints of raisins and honey, some spice, leather and aromatic peat smoke.
