Bladnoch Alinta Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 47% by volume

The Bladnoch distillery, situated on the river of the same name, is the southernmost whiskey distillery in Scotland that is still producing. After it was founded in 1817, the distillery looks back on some very dark times: countless changes of ownership, temporary closures. In 2015 the distillery was taken over by an Australian entrepreneur who breathed new life into Bladnoch and modernized it.

Bladnoch Alinta matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks for an undefined period of time . Bottled at a strong 47 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Nose: Creamy and sweet with aromatic smokiness, dry oak and overripe fruit.

Taste: Smoked bacon mixed with sweetness and spices, hints of almonds, slightly ashy.
