Black Bottle Double Cask 0.7l, alc. 46.3% vol.

The Black Bottle brand was started by the Graham brothers in the early 20th century. The characteristic and deep black glass bottle was designed by a German glass manufacturer at the time. Due to the First World War, however, the whiskey was temporarily bottled in green bottles. Today Black Bottle is sold again in its old design. The classic blend combines Islay malts with Highland, Speyside and Lowland whiskeys, which are blended with mild grain whiskeys.

Black Bottle Double Cask matured in a combination of ex-sherry and classic wine casks for an undefined period of time. Bottled at a strong 46.3% ABV. Alcohol.

Nose: Hints of green and dark grapes, sweet caramel with underlying notes of sherry and grainy grain.

Palate: Sweet with toffee and caramel, hints of popcorn, hazelnuts and tart cereal.
