Balvenie 12 Year Old Montilla Wine 0.7l, alc. 47.3 Vol.%

The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1892, directly adjacent to the Glenfiddich distillery, and is still family-owned today. Connoisseurs appreciate the smooth single malts produced by the distillery, which is one of the few in Scotland still operating its own malthouses. Balvenie also produces smoky whisky—something rather unusual for the Speyside region of Scotland. The 14-year-old Balvenie American Bourbon Barrel is one of two bottlings in the new Curious Cask Collection, the result of the curiosity and close collaboration between Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie and Samples Coordinator George Paterson.

Balvenie 12 years matured the entire time in a European oak barrel,
which had previously been topped with the rich, sweet wine from Montilla, Spain.
Bottled at 47.3% alcohol by volume, without coloring.

Aroma: Delicate, fresh with barley sugar that unfolds into flowing honey, beautifully balanced by toasted oak.

Taste: Candied fruits, warming spices, velvety apricots and vanilla pudding.
