The Edradour distillery, once the smallest distillery in Scotland, has been under independent ownership again since 2002. Managed by Andrew Symington, the owner and founder of Signatory Vintage, the Highland distillery truly has a luminary as its owner. Since he took over, a wide variety of bottlings have been regularly launched on the market. Edradour bottles single malts without peat smoke under its own name, as Ballechin with peat smoke.

Ballechin 12 Jahre SFTC reifte vom 23.10.2009 bis zum 02.03.2022 in einem einzelnen Oloroso-Sherryfass (348). Abgefüllt mit kräftigen 58,1 vol. % Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff und nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Dunkle Beerenfrüchte, intensiver Torfrauch mit aschigem Einschlag, Marmelade und Leder.

Geschmack: Fleische Noten, brauner Zucker, Datteln im Speckmantel, erdiger Rauch und Gewürze.
