The Edradour distillery, once the smallest distillery in Scotland, has been under independent ownership again since 2002. Managed by Andrew Symington, the owner and founder of Signatory Vintage, the Highland distillery truly has a luminary as its owner. Since he took over, a wide variety of bottlings have been regularly launched on the market. Edradour bottles single malts without peat smoke under its own name, as Ballechin with peat smoke.

Ballechin 10 Jahre wurde mit 50 ppm Rauchgehalt im Malz hergestellt und reifte in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon- und Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit 46 vol. % Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff und nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Erdig, intensiver Torfrauch mit markanter Süße, Lakritz und Anklängen von Nadelholz.

Geschmack: Rauchbetont mit Kräuterbonbons, Zuckerwatte, erdigen Noten und etwas Asche.
