The Lochranza distillery, which was known as the Arran Distillery until 2020, was founded in 1995 and is located in the town of Lochranza on the Isle of Arran. Currently, the distillery markets single malt whiskies under the island's name, both with and without peat smoke. However, peaty whisky production will be moved to the new Lagg Distillery, which was recently built in the south of the island.

Arran Barrel Reserve is the non-age-rate entry-level whisky in the distillery's portfolio, matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Bottled at 43% ABV, without added coloring.

Aroma: Very fruity with vanilla, delicate spices and a slightly dry oak note.

Taste: Sour-sweet with kiwi and citrus fruits, malt, aromatic spices and a touch of oak.
