The Warenghem family has been based in France since the end of the 19th century. The distillery, founded by Léon Warenghem in the city center, became famous for its "Elixir d'Armorique", a distillate flavored with 35 plants, which is still produced today. In 1987 the first blended whiskey appeared on the market, a year later the first single malt whiskey called Armorik. Today the Warenghem distillery exports its whiskey to many countries around the world.
Armorik Classic matured in ex-bourbon casks for an unspecified amount of time. Bottled at 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.
Aroma: Fruity and fresh with light citrus fruits, malty, slightly sweet with some oak.
Flavor: Fruity with green apples and pears, roasted grains and powdered sugar.
