The Ardnamurchan Distillery is located in the Scottish Highlands and is considered one of the most remote distilleries in all of Scotland. The distillery is named after the peninsula on which it is located. Construction began in 2013, and production began in 2014 with two wash stills and one spirit still. Ardnamurchan is owned by Adelphi Distillers Ltd., an independent bottler.

Ardnamurchan The Midgie 2025 is a vibrant single malt made from peated and unpeated spirits from 2017, 2018, and 2019, matured in a combination of bourbon, port, and sherry casks. Midgies are small, never-single pests belonging to a specific species of fly.

Nose: Smoky ham meets flambéed pineapple and salty plums. Strawberry jam, almond oil, coconut macaroon, and a hint of mint round out the bouquet.

Taste: Salt-baked pear and lemon thyme combine with fruity sultanas, smoky cherry wood and spicy cocoa.
