Originally founded as a distillery, Adelphi was one of the most productive and progressive distilleries in Scotland from 1816 to 1907. It was not until 1993 that the Adelphi name was given new life, albeit in the area of ​​independent bottlings, which have since been purchased from various distilleries in Scotland and bottled under their own label.

The Ardnamurchan Adelphi Maclean Bruce is one of the first single casks from the Ardnamurchan distillery following the launch of their first single malt in 2020.

This peated single malt matured for 5 years in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks and was bottled by Adelphi in collaboration with Maclean and Bruce. Maclean is a well-known whisky critic and connoisseur. A limited number of 1403 bottles were produced.

Aroma: The whisky has spicy notes of nutmeg, tobacco and smoked bacon. Behind this are liquorice, sandalwood and oranges. Medicinal iodine notes and fennel round off the aroma.

Taste: The 5-year-old Ardnamurchan has an oily taste on the tongue. It tastes of candied ginger and has light salty notes. Behind this are chocolate and liquorice. Lemon zest and smoke lead into the finish.
