Ardbeg Traigh Bhan 19 years Batch 7 0.7l, alc. 50.3% by volume

The Ardbeg distillery, located in the south of the Scottish island of Islay, can now call itself one of the finest addresses for smoky single malts – after a once troubled past, including its closure. In addition to various permanently available whiskies, the distillery is known and popular for its limited-edition bottlings.

Ardbeg Traigh Bhan Batch 7 matured for 19 years in ex-bourbon and oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 50.3% ABV, without coloring and non-chill filtered.

Aroma: Powerful and intense with strong smoky aromas reminiscent of coal dust and tar. Fresh, invigorating peppermint and eucalyptus counteract with sweetness and coolness. Citrus dominates the nose, with a spicy, fresh sweetness.

Palate: Citrus notes of zest and bergamot tingle on the tongue, followed by a rush of medicinal smoke. The influence of the Oloroso sherry cask is clearly evident, with spices such as ginger and cumin, as well as cocoa powder and espresso notes.
