The Ardbeg distillery, located in the south of the Scottish island of Islay, can today - after a once difficult past including closure - call itself one of the best addresses when it comes to smoky single malts. In addition to various permanently available whiskeys, the distillery is known and popular for temporarily available, limited bottlings.
Ardbeg Ten matured in ex-bourbon casks for 10 years. Bottled at 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.
Aroma: Sweet peat smoke with hints of herbs and honey, light oak note, delicately spicy.
Taste: Sweet and maritime, honey, herbal candies, pleasant peat smoke with slightly dry oak, citrus.
