The family-run company Hunter Laing & Co. Ltd. is already managed by the third generation. As an independent bottler, the family only brings hand-picked Scottish single malts onto the market. For this, Stewart H. Laing and his sons Scott & Andrew buy barrels that meet their quality requirements and let them mature according to their own ideas and later also bottle them. Also available from Hunter Laing are regionally bottled blended malt whiskeys.

Ardbeg The Kinship matured in a single hogshead from 1991 to 2019. Bottled at 47.2 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: leather and wax paper, some tar and citrus zest, mild sweetness with a hint of herbs and delicate smoke.

Taste: Spicy and maritime with ripe citrus fruits, leather and herbs, light peat smoke and dry nutty oak.
