Ardbeg 14 Years Anthology matured the entire time in a combination of Madeira casks and ex-bourbon casks.
Bottled with 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.
Nose: Rich, sweet, aromatic and fruity. Facets of banana bread and sponge cake combine with syrupy notes and aromas of smoldering cedarwood. A drop of water reveals tropical fruits, eucalyptus oil and spicy smoke.
Taste: Lime and sweet peaches with strong aromas of smoked fruit and baked bread give way to antiseptic lozenges, creosote tar and anise. Barley malt notes combine with nutmeg and peat smoke towards the end.
