Ardbeg An Oa 1.0l, alc. 46.6% ABV

Located in the south of the Scottish island of Islay, the Ardbeg distillery can call itself one of the best destinations for smoky single malts today – after a once difficult past, including closure. In addition to various permanently available whiskies, the distillery is known and popular for occasionally available, limited bottlings.

Ardbeg An Oa matures for an undefined period in a mix of former Bourbon and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, supplemented by fresh casks (Virgin Oak). Bottled at 46.6% ABV, without colouring and non-chill filtered.

Aroma: Pleasant peat smoke with sweet and spicy nuances, subtle fruit note, some anise, pepper and oak.

Taste: Mix of sweetness and spice, light herbal note, characteristic peat smoke with hints of tea leaves.
