The Aberlour distillery, located in the town of the same name in Speyside, Scotland, was built in 1879. The distillery is known for its bottlings, which mature in American bourbon barrels and Spanish sherry barrels. A special flagship product is the barrel-strong A'bunadh.

According to the official tasting note, the smell of the Aberlour 14 Years delivers a balanced combination of sweet vanilla and honey, which is said to meet a hint of ripe cherry and milk chocolate. In terms of taste, a rounded aroma of blackcurrant and honey is refined by gentle notes of caramel, blackberry and delicate ginger. The aftertaste is persistently sweet and balanced.
