In 1987, John Teeling acquired a former government-owned distillery called Ceimici Teoranta Distillery, which produced potato distillates. After the renaming to Cooley Distillery, he equipped the distillery so that it can produce both single malt and single grain. With the acquisition of the old Kilbeggan Distillery, John Teeling created space to store his whiskeys produced at the Cooley Distillery.
Tyrconnell 10 Years Sherry Finish first matured in ex-bourbon casks and then received a post-maturation in sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV. Alcohol.
Aroma: Ripe citrus fruits, nutty notes, some mocha, delicately spicy with oak.
Palate: Nutty with mild sherry, ripe pears, toasted malt and dry oak.
