The Tullibardine distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands, originally came from a brewery. King James IV bought beer from this brewery as early as 1488. Whiskey production began in 1886. Only in 1947 were the brewery buildings converted into today's Tullibardine Distillery. Since 2011, the distillery has been owned by the French wine and spirits group Picard Vins & Spiritueux, which owns the 'Highland Queen' brand, among others.
Tullibardine Sovereign matured in ex-bourbon casks for an undefined period of time. Bottled at 43% vol. Alcohol, without dye.
