Tamnavulin Double Cask 0.7l, alc. 40 Vol.-%

By Scottish standards, the Tamnavulin Distillery, founded in 1966, is one of the younger whiskey distilleries. Located in Speyside, Scotland, Tamnavulin means something like “mill on the mountain”. After various closures, the distillery has been producing again since it was taken over by Whyte & Mackay in 2007. Since 2011 at full capacity.

Tamnavulin Double Cask first matured in former bourbon casks for an undefined period of time and was then further matured in sherry casks. Bottled with a mild 40 vol. % alcohol.

Aroma: Fruity notes, sweet with a hint of spice, malt and oak, dry and nutty.

Taste: Apples and pears, sugary sweetness, malty with yeast and a hint of oak.
