The Tamdhu Distillery was founded in 1897 in Speyside, Scotland and is in the immediate vicinity of the Dailuaine, Knockando and Cardhu distilleries. Translated, Tamdhu means "little dark hill". The distillery's single malts, which they bottle themselves, mature exclusively in Spanish sherry casks. Since 2013, the distillery has belonged to the Ian Macleod company, which also owns Glengoyne and Rosebank.
Tamdhu Batch Strength No.007 matured in former sherry casks for an undefined period of time. Bottled with a strong 57.5 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.
Aroma: Sweet and fruity with hints of leather, spices and tobacco, aromatic oak.
