The Talisker distillery was established in 1831 on the Scottish Isle of Skye. The name derives from the Talisker House estate, a few miles west in the mountains. After a fire in 1960 that almost destroyed the entire distillery, Talisker was rebuilt true to the original a few years later. Skye's stunning scenery attracts countless tourists to the distillery every year, many of whom delight in the distillery's peppery, smoky single malt.

Talisker Surge matured in ex-bourbon casks for an undefined period of time . Bottled at 45.8 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered. .

Aroma: Sweet and spicy peat smoke with hints of bacon, fruity undercurrents with a hint of oak.

Taste: Fresh with candied dried fruit, creamy vanilla, pepper and chili, sweet peat smoke.
