Many Scottish distilleries produce exclusively for the blend industry and therefore do not have their own single malt whiskey in their range. The background to the so-called Flora & Fauna series is to create an original bottling from precisely such distilleries in order to make their specific character accessible to connoisseurs.
Strathmill 12 years old comes from Speyside in Scotland and matured for 12 years in ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled at 43 vol. % alcohol.
Aroma: Grassy and floral notes, oranges and peel, mildly spicy, malty.
Taste: Sweet with vanilla and caramel, pithy grain, citrus fruits and fresh floral notes.
