The Bruichladdich distillery was founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers on the banks of Loch Indaal. Closed in 1994, a group of private investors breathed new life into the distillery in 2000. Today Bruichladdich produces single malt whiskey on the island of Islay under its own name, without any peat smoke. As Port Charlotte, a medium-strong smoky whiskey and as Octomore, the smokiest single malts in the world.

Octomore 14.1 5 years 2017 matured for five years in first fill American whiskey barrels bottled with a powerful 59.6 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.

Aroma: Smoked vanilla and caramel toffee combine with citrus notes and earthy smoke.

Taste: Citrus fruits with a renewed smoky vanilla and toffee taste and notes of green fruits give way to roasted coffee beans with clove and nutmeg.
