Macallan 12 years Double Cask 0.7l, alc. 40 Vol.-%

Macallan Distillery, located in the town of Craigellachie on the banks of the River Spey, was one of the first legal distilleries in Scotland. Founded in 1824, Macallan is now one of the largest producers of single malt whiskey in Scotland. Old bottlings regularly achieve record sums at auctions worldwide. Since 2017, the new distillery has been producing on a total of 36 stills.

Macallan 12 Years Double Cask matured the entire time in ex-sherry casks made of American and European oak. Bottled at a mild 40 vol. % alcohol, without coloring.

Aroma: Grainy with a slight dryness, sweet aromas, ripe fruit and some nutty oak.

Taste: Sweet with toffee and vanilla, apples and pears, fresh ginger with toasted notes and dry oak notes.
