The Loch Lomond distillery was founded in 1964 on the lake of the same name near the small town of Alexandria. The distillery is very diverse in the production of whisky. Be it through the malt (smoky and non-smoky) as well as the various systems used to produce whisky. In addition to pot stills, the distillery also has several other stills: Lomond stills, Coffey stills for grain whisky since 1993 and column stills.

Loch Lomond Spearhead Single Grain matured for an undefined period in a a combination of ex-bourbon casks and fresh American white oak (Virgin Oak) casks for an undefined period of time.. Bottled at a smooth 43% alcohol by volume, non-chill-filtered

Aroma: Floral notes with violets, dark berries, pithy grain with creamy sweetness.

Taste: Fruity with green apples and lemons, caramel sweets and dry cereals.
