Loch Lomond Spearhead Single Grain 0.7l, alc. 43 Vol.-%

The Loch Lomond distillery was founded in 1964 on the lake of the same name near the town of Alexandria. The distillery is very diverse in the production of whiskey. Be it through the malt (smoky and non-smoky) as well as through the different systems used to produce a whiskey. In addition to pot stills, the distillery has a few other stills: Lomond stills, since 1993 Coffey stills for grain whiskey and column stills.

Loch Lomond Spearhead Single Grain matured for an undefined period in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and fresh American White Oak (Virgin Oak) casks . Bottled at a mild 43 vol. % alcohol, not chill filtered

Aroma: Floral notes with violets, dark berries, pithy grain with a creamy sweetness.

Palate: Fruity with green apples and lemons, caramels and dry grains.
