Laphroaig Oak Select Islay Single Malt Whisky 0.7l, alc. 40 Vol.-%

The Laphroaig Distillery was officially founded in 1815 in the south of the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay. At the time of Prohibition, the distillery's whiskey was sold as medicine, which explains the appearance and features of the whiskeys. In 1994 the distillery received the 'Royal Warrant' from King Charles III. presented. He appreciates the smoky single malt whiskey from Laphroaig and visits the distillery regularly. Laphroaig means something like "the beautiful hollow on the wide bay".

Laphroaig Select matured for an undefined period in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, as well as quarter casks. Bottled at 40 vol. % alcohol, without coloring.

Aroma: Sweet with herbal smoke, medicinal notes, hints of dark berries and oak.

Taste: Herbal honey and some pepper, malty with maritime freshness, peat smoke and a hint of fruit.
