The Laphroaig Distillery was officially founded in 1815 in the south of the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay. During Prohibition, the distillery's whisky was sold as medicine, which explains the appearance and presentation of the whiskies. In 1994, the distillery was awarded a Royal Warrant by King Charles III. He greatly appreciates Laphroaig's peaty single malt whisky and visits the distillery regularly. Laphroaig translates roughly as "the beautiful hollow by the broad bay."

Laphroaig 30 Year Old matured for its entire duration in former bourbon and sherry casks.
Bottled at a robust 45.8 % alcohol by volume, non-chill filtered.

Aroma: Notes of orange and lemon zest, vanilla pudding, caramel and cream candies, a fruity and sweet fragrance.

Taste: Bergamot, sweet pastries, and fresh thyme. With a hint of white pepper, smoldering peat smoke, and sooty campfire notes.
