Knockando Distillery was founded in 1898 during the whiskey boom and was named after the town in which it is located. The distillery sells its own single malts with an age statement. However, the main output goes into the J&B Blended Scotch Whisky. As early as 1985, the one billionth bottle of Knockando was bottled at the distillery in the presence of then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

Knockando 15 years matured the entire time in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled at 43% vol. Alcohol.

Nose: Preserved fruits, sweet spices, slightly chocolatey oak and a hint of peat smoke.

Palate: Apple and pear compote, toasted grain with walnuts and almonds, spicy oak.
