Jura Tastival 2016 Jura Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 51% by volume

Established in 1810, Jura Distillery is located in the only town on the island of the same name, Craighead. The distillery is sixty miles from the Scottish coast but despite the inaccessibility has managed to steadily increase production volumes and sell their single malt all over the world. Many visitors to the neighboring island of Islay take the opportunity to cross over to Jura during their visit.

Jura Tastival 2016 matured in ex-sherry casks for an undefined period. Bottled at a strong 51% ABV. Alcohol, not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Sherry tones with pickled dates, raisins, some ashy smoke and citrus.

Taste: Hints of red fruits and tobacco, spices and mild sweetness, sultanas and a hint of smoke.
