After his father's death in 1819, John Walker and his mother sold the family farm near the Scottish town of Kilmarnock and used the proceeds to open a local general store. After a while, the range of the shop was expanded to include whisky. John experimentally applied blending methods used for tea at the time to whiskey. Today, Johnnie Walker is the best-selling Scotch whiskey in the world .

Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 Years Sherry Finish first matured in oak casks and then received a post-maturation in former sherry casks. Bottled at a mild 40 vol. % alcohol.

Aroma: Mixture of spices and sweetness with robust cereals, roasted aromas and a hint of oak and peat smoke.

Palate: Hints of dark fruit with plums, roasted nuts, tart grain and delicate smoke.
