Highland Park is not only one of Scotland's northernmost distilleries, but also one of its oldest. The distillery's owners claim it was founded in 1798. Located in the town of Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands, Highland Park produces a spicy and smoky single malt and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to use its own maltings. The bottlings bear names reminiscent of the Vikings.

Highland Park Harald matured for an unspecified period in European sherry casks.
Bottled with 45.1% alcohol by volume, without added coloring.

Aroma: Cedarwood, mango, coriander, vanilla, notes of berries and spices.

Taste: Ginger, toasted oak and a hint of peat smoke.
