Highland Park 12 years Viking Honour 0.7l alc. 40 Vol.-%

Highland Park is not only one of the most northerly distilleries in Scotland, but also one of the oldest. The operators of the distillery claim that it was founded in 1798. Located in the town of Kirkwall in the Orkneys, Highland Park produces a spicy, smoky single malt and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that uses its own malt floors. The bottlings have nicknames reminiscent of the Vikings.

Highland Park 12 years matured the entire time in former sherry casks. Bottled at a mild 40% ABV. Alcohol, without dye.

Aroma: Delicately sweet and spicy, hints of ripe fruit, heather and some peat smoke.

Taste: Sweet with some caramel, peach and ripe apple, spicy smoke with mild oak.
