Glenturret is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland. Whiskey is said to have been illegally distilled here as early as 1717. The current distillery dates back to 1775. The distillery produces both smoky and non-smoked single malt whiskey and is also known worldwide as the "Home of the Famous Grouse". Glenturret is also known for Towser the domestic cat, who made it into the Guinness Book of Records: She reached an almost biblical age of almost 24 years for cats and is said to have killed 28,899 mice during this time.

Glenturret Peated matured in oak barrels for an undefined period of time. Bottled at 43 vol. % alcohol.

Nose: Spicy peat smoke with light sweetness and citrus, malt.

Taste: Sweet and sour with orange and powdered sugar, delicate herbal note and malty, spicy smokiness.
