Evidence of (illegal) whiskey distilling in the region around the town of Tain dates back to around 1700, but legal whiskey has only been produced at Glenmorangie Distillery since 1843. The distillery was the first to start aging its whiskey in other casks on a large scale. Over the years, the distillery has been expanded several times, but the small but tall stills, which are unique in their shape throughout Scotland, have remained consciously.
Glenmorangie Milsean first matured in ex-bourbon casks for an undefined period of time and then received a post-maturation in burned-out wine casks. Bottled at 46% ABV. Alcohol, not chill-filtered.
Aroma: Sweet and fruity, creamy with hints of malt, floral notes and some citrus.
Taste: Fruity with cherries and oranges, sweets and some ginger, delicately spicy oak.
