The Glenfarclas distillery was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay in Scotland's Speyside region and received its license to distill whisky in 1844. In 1865, the distillery was sold to John Grant, whose descendants later renovated it and still own it today. Glenfarclas is known for its single malt whiskies, which are matured entirely in ex-sherry casks. Few other Scottish distilleries offer such an extensive range of diverse bottlings.
Glenfarclas Family Cask matured from 2007 to 2025 in a single sherry cask, No. 2671.
Bottled with a robust 59.0% vol. alcohol, without added colouring, not chill-filtered.
Aroma: Christmas notes of toffee, dark berries and hints of vanilla crescent cookies.
Taste: Toffee and warming spices meet dried fruits and a hint of oak.
