Founded in 1897, Glen Moray Distillery is to the west of the town of Elgin. Located on the banks of the River Lossie, the origins of the building in which the distillery produces can be traced back to a brewery. Glen Moray means something like "Valley of the Settlement by the Lake". The distillery is known for its single malts, which matured and then matured in a wide variety of cask types.
Glen Moray 10 Years Fired Oak first matured in former bourbon casks and then received a post-maturation in heavily burned oak casks (Virgin Oak). Filled with a mild 40% vol. Alcohol.
Aroma: Creamy sweetness with a subtle spiciness, ripe fruit and fresh oak.
Taste: Sweet with caramel, spicy with pepper, pears and apples, some liquorice and toasted notes.
