The Edradour distillery, once the smallest distillery in Scotland, has been independently owned again since 2002. Run by Andrew Symington, the owner and founder of the company Signatory Vintage, the Highland distillery has a truly luminary owner. Since he took over, a wide variety of bottlings have been released on the market on a regular basis. Edradour bottles single malts without peat smoke under its own name, and with peat smoke as Ballechin.
Edradour 10 years was first matured in former bourbon barrels and then further matured in sherry barrels. Bottled with a mild 40% alcohol by volume, without coloring.
Aroma: Sweet and fruity with candied apples, roasted grains and delicate nuttiness.
Taste: Balance of sweetness and spice, ripe apples, rich malt and slightly dry oak.
