Balvenie 14 years Week of Peat 0.7l, alc. 48.3 Vol.-%

The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1892 right next to the Glenfiddich distillery and is still family-run today. Connoisseurs appreciate the smooth single malts produced by the distillery, which is one of the few in Scotland to still operate its own malt floors. Balvenie also produces smoky whisky - which is rather untypical for the Scottish Speyside.

Balvenie 14 Years Week of Peat was made from barley malt, which has a smokiness of 30 ppm and matured in American oak barrels.
Bottled with a strong 48.3 vol. % alcohol, not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Earthy peat smoke with sweet caramel, underlying fruit, malt and aromatic oak.

Taste: Honey and toffee, smoky barley malt with slightly dry oak and some soot.
