Auchentoshan Three Wood 0.7l, alc. 43 Vol.-%

Founded in 1825 just outside Glasgow, the Auchentoshan distillery produces single malt whiskey that is triple distilled. What is more typical in Ireland is less common in Scotland. A triple distillation allows the spirit and later whiskey to mature very mildly, which makes Auchentoshan, translated as "corner of the field", very popular, especially with beginners.

Auchentoshan Three Wood matured in ex-bourbon casks for an undefined period of time and then received a post-maturation in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Bottled at 43 vol. % alcohol.

Aroma: Chocolate notes, hints of dark grapes, vanilla and slightly dry oak.

Taste: Sweet with caramel, mild spices, dark fruits and a pinch of cinnamon.
