Michael Molloy founded the original Tullamore Distillery in 1829 in the town of the same name. The later managing director Daniel Edmond Williams began his apprenticeship as a whiskey distiller at the distillery in 1862 and created the brand name that is still known today in 1887 by adding his initials DEW - Tullamore DEW
Tullamore Dew 12 years matured the entire time in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled at a mild 40% ABV. Alcohol.
Aroma: Fresh citrus fruits, hints of white chocolate, mild mix of sweetness and spice.
Taste: Sweet and tart with lime, some caramel and clove, dry grain and oak.
