The Talisker distillery was established on the Isle of Skye in Scotland in 1831. The name is derived from the Talisker House estate, which is located a few miles to the west in the mountains. After a fire in 1960, which destroyed almost the entire distillery, Talisker was faithfully rebuilt a few years later. The breathtaking landscape of Skye attracts countless tourists to the distillery every year, many of whom are enthusiastic about the distillery's peppery, smoky single malt.

Talisker 44 Years Forests of the Deep matured the entire time in oak casks. Bottled with a strong 49.1% alcohol by volume.

Aroma: Spicy with pepper and maritime notes, subliminal sweetness, a hint of peat smoke and polished oak.

Taste: Meaty nuances with pepper and cloves, a hint of smoke, delicate fruitiness and dry oak.
