Mackmyra Svensk EK Swedish Whiskey, 0.7l, alc. 46.1% vol.

The history of the Swedish distillery Mackmyra can be traced back to 1998, when eight friends met for a ski trip together. After noticing that everyone had brought a bottle of single malt whiskey for the host, the group began to philosophize about the making of Swedish whiskey. A year later Mackmyra was founded. After further years of experimentation, two recipes were finally created for the production of their own single malt: Elegant (without smoke) and Rök (with smoke).

Mackmyra Svensk Ek first matured for an undefined period in a combination of former bourbon and sherry casks and then received a post-maturation in fresh Swedish oak casks (Virgin Oak). Bottled at 46.1 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Dry and woody with a mix of spicy and sweet, roasted grain, delicate fruit.

Taste: Fruity with light citrus fruits, dry oak, some powdered sugar and pepper.
