In 2013, the Eimverk Distillery, located south of Reykjavik in Iceland, went into production. In the first few years, bottlings appeared that had already been stored in barrels, but had the necessary three years. Today, the young distillery, which uses 100% Icelandic barley for production, has an extensive range of different barrel types.
Floki Sheep Dung Smoked Reserve was matured for an unspecified time in a single cask (18), where the barley was kilned over a fire stoked with sheep dung. Bottled at 47 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.
Aroma: Spicy and floral with pepper and hay, citrus and tea, delicate oak with some dryness.
Palate: Ewas ham, lemons and oranges, pepper and cloves, delicate honey and dry straw.
